Cape Aqua was founded in 2005 by the Du Plessis Family. They had recently sold off their enormously successful juice company called Quali-Juice and were looking to enter the then still new water market at the time.
They brought to the market great innovation in terms of their bottle shape and innovative flavoured water varieties. Initially they outsourced their natural Still and Sparkling Spring Water and produced their flavoured water in-house at their facility in the Strand.
